About Chris Hogan, R.Ac.Chris Hogan Acupuncture Edmonton

The path to Acupuncture and TCM

Before pursuing studies in Acupuncture & Traditional Chinese Medicine, Chris was employed by Telus (AGT) Engineering. During his seventeen-year career with Telus, he developed a serious back condition; moreover, it was in his back condition that he found the motivation and new passion for Acupuncture & TCM, indeed through acupuncture and TCM Chirs made a full recovery.

Raising the bar

Chris is a pioneer in Alberta Acupuncture, as the catalyst in the formation of the province's first public school for Acupuncture - Grant MacEwan University's Acupuncture Program - Chris has helped raise the standards for acupuncture patient care in Alberta.

As an active member of the
CAAA (College and Association of Acupuncturists of Alberta) Chris encourages you to see and use acupuncture as part of your health; also, Chris encourages participation in the movement to make acupuncture treatments part of Alberta Health and Wellness.

                  About Amanda Roth, R.Ac., R.M.T

Balance is the focus and ultimate aim of Traditional Chinese Medicine and it is this simple yet profound concept that drew Amanda towards a career in this field. It was the balance between the physical aspect of acupuncture and massage, the demanding intellectual nature of TCM and the element of compassion and caring it requires to treat people that finalized her choice to enrol in acupuncture. A career where one can use their hands, head and heart equally, a balance of the mind, body and spirit.

While completing the 2000+ hour Acupuncture program at Grant MacEwan University Amanda simultaneously completed a Registered Massage Therapy course as well as many Chinese Herbology courses in order to round out her knowledge. The learning and development does not stop here as Amanda continues to take courses and study to the benefit of her patients.
